1. SINGLE FARE TICKETS
A single fare ticket validated in a specific train entitles to one journey within a specific zone. In the case of any failure of an electronic validating machine, a passenger is obliged to validate a ticket in another validating machine installed in a rail vehicle. In the case of failure of both validating machines (exclusively in such a case), a ticket may be validated manually by a passenger – please write with ink or a ball pen the date and time of the beginning of the journey in the blank space provided for an imprint of a validating machine.
Depending on the Zone, a ticket is valid for:
- Zone 1 – up to 19 minutes,
- Zone 2 – up to 38 minutes,
- Zone 3 – for more than 38 minutes,
following the moment of its validating, according to the train timetable. Any unplanned stopover (delay) of a train does not influence the duration of its validity.
Single fare tickets are available according to the following ticket tariff:
- standard,
- commercial discounts: 45%, 50%, 85%,
- statutory allowance: 33%, 37%, 49%, 51%,78%, 93%, 95%, 100%.
PLEASE, NOTE! A ticket is valid only in the train, in which it has been validated.
Passengers entitled to free rides are obliged to possess a valid ticket for the journey. Passengers who do not possess a valid ticket shall be treated as those travelling without a valid ticket with all the consequences resulting thereof.
The tickets valid within the Warsaw Commuter Railway (Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa – WKD) can be purchased:
- in the ticket office of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD)
- at the points of sale authorised by the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD)
- in stationary ticket vending machines
- via mobile phone

2. COMMUTER TICKETS
(5 paid journeys + 1 free)
A commuter ticket entitles to six rides within a specific Zone, for which the train service provider imposes charges on a passenger according to the standard tariff, in the amount equivalent to the price for five journeys within the same route.
Commuter ticket prices:
Zone 1 – PLN 20.50
Zone 2 - PLN 27.50
Zone 3 - PLN 40.00
A passenger is obliged to validate a commuter ticket immediately after entering the train. A counterfoil constitutes an integral part of a commuter ticket and should not be torn off till the end of the journey. A counterfoil torn off a ticket is not valid.
Commuter tickets are available:
- in the ticket office of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD)
- at the points of sale authorised by the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD)
- in stationary ticket vending machines (a ticket vending machine gives six subsequent single fare tickets with the same ticket number)
3. SINGLE FARE CITY TICKETS
A Single Fare City Ticket entitles to one journey within the so called “city zone” in the following cities:
- Grodzisk Mazowiecki – the zone delimited by the stations: Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Radońska – Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Okrężna;
- Podkowa Leśna – the zone delimited by the stations: Podkowa Leśna Zach. – Podkowa Leśna Wschód.
A ticket is also sold for the carriage of certain items, including a bike.
A ticket may be bought by every person travelling on a WKD train within the cities of Grodzisk Maz. and Podkowa Leśna.
CITY TICKETS are available at the price of PLN 2.26
City tickets are available:
- in the ticket office of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD)
- at the points of sale authorised by the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD)
- in stationary ticket vending machines
4. PERSONAL PERIOD TRAVELCARDS
A Personal period travelcard entitles to an unlimited number of journeys to all the stations on a given route. The travelcard is available for single and return journeys. The travelcard entitles to journeys in all trains scheduled for in the train timetable.
There are four types of personal period travelcards:
- WEEKLY- according to the standard ticket tariff, including a commercial discount in the amount of 50%
- BIWEEKLY- according to the standard ticket tariff, including a commercial discount in the amount of 50%
- MONTHLY- according to the standard ticket tariff, including a commercial discount in the amount of 50%, 70%, 80% as well as a statutory allowance in the amount of 33%, 37%, 49%,51%, 78%, 93%
- QUARTERLY - according to the standard ticket tariff, including a commercial discount in the amount of 50%, 70%
Personal period travelcards are available:
- in the ticket office of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD)
- in stationary ticket vending machines.
5. BEARER PERIOD TRAVELCARDS
A bearer period travelcard entitles to an unlimited number of journeys on a given route. The travelcard is issued only for return journeys. This type of travelcard entitles to journeys in all trains scheduled for in the train timetable.
There are two types of bearer period travelcards:
- monthly - according to the standard ticket tariff
- quarterly - according to the standard ticket tariff
Bearer period travelcards are available:
- in the ticket office of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD)
- in stationary ticket vending machines.
6. BEARER MONTHLY WEEKEND TRAVELCARDS
A bearer monthly weekend travelcard entitles to an unlimited number of journeys on a given route within the consecutive weekends (Saturday, Sunday) as well as on all the holidays, within the period of validity of the ticket (i.e. one month).
A bearer monthly weekend travelcard may be issued only for return tickets.

The ticket cannot be laminated, neither exchanged for a different ticket valid on different lines or in trains of another train service provider. Its validity cannot be extended, either.
Bearer monthly weekend travelcards are available:
- in the ticket office of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD)
- in stationary ticket vending machines.
7. PURCHASE VIA MOBILE PHONE
It is possible to buy single fare tickets according to the standard ticket tariff, including a commercial discount in the amount of 50%, a statutory allowance of 37%, 49%, 51%, 78%, 93%, 95% for all the time zones, via a mobile phone.
1. Before purchasing a ticket you have to create an account in the mPay system and determine your PIN number dialling the toll-free number *145# (toll-free text mode for the subscribers of all mobile phone network operators) or *145 (toll-free voice mode for the customers of Plus, Play and Orange) or 791 145 145 (emergency voice mode for the subscribers of all mobile phone network operators; paid phone connection, the rates being equivalent to the rates for the phone connection to the Play network)

2. In order to mark up the discount/allowance rate, please dial the toll-free number *145*0# (for the subscribers of all the mobile phone network operators) or *145 (for the customers of Plus, Play and Orange) or paid number 791 145 145 and then dial “0” and corroborate with “*”. The holder of the discount/allowance ticket has to certify the related discount/allowance entitlement.
3. In order to buy a ticket you should dial: *145*code of the ticket#, (for the subscribers of all the mobile phone network operators) or *145code of the ticket (for the customers of Plus, Play and Orange) or the paid number 791 145 145 and after the announcement, dial the code of the ticket as well as *.

The Warsaw Commuter Railway Ltd. (WKD) kindly requests the passengers to buy their tickets before getting on the train. Purchasing a ticket takes some time and we want to avoid the situation, in which the purchase is in process concurrently with ticket inspection. Such a situation will be perceived as a ride without a ticket. The ticket is valid from the time of purchase by the mobile phone.
8. PURCHASE IN A TICKET VENDING MACHINE
Warsaw Commuter Railway Ltd. (WKD) kindly notifies that the ticket vending machines are installed at all the stations and stops. The following tickets are available in the vending machines:
- single fare tickets (except for free ride tickets i.e., 100% statutory allowance)
- period travelcards
The ticket purchase procedure:
a traveller may choose the type of a ticket – a single fare ticket or a period travelcard:
- when purchasing a single fare ticket, a traveller chooses the time zone and the discount/allowance rate a traveller is entitled to. It is possible to print the purchase confirmation.
- when purchasing a period travelcard:
choose the type of a travelcard - a personal travelcard, a bearer travelcard,
choose the type of a travelcard - weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, weekend,
choose the type of journey - single or return,
choose the allowance/discount rate to which one is entitled,
mark the line on the ticket (from a station to a station).
Once a ticket is purchased, a traveller writes in the name and surname of the holder of the ticket.
In case of buying a ticket in a vending machine it is possible to use the “speed dial” interface, where the most frequently purchased single fare tickets (PLN 3.60, PLN 4.80, PLN 7.00, PLN 1.80, PLN 2.40) are to be found. Shall a traveller decide not to use this option, the icon “more tickets” needs to be selected, after which it returns to the standard options of single fare tickets and period travelcards.
A vending machine accepts payments in cash up to PLN 50, bigger sums have to be paid by a credit card.

9. RIDES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
The offer is tailored for the people who have turned 60.
Such a person can buy a single fare ticket or a period travelcard at a discount of 50% and does need to purchase an identity card. Any document corroborating the age of this person entitles to enjoy 50% discount. The discount is available in the WKD trains, on working days from 9.00 a.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and on holidays round the clock. Further information can be obtained in the ticket offices.
10. FAMILY RIDES
The offer is valid during winter and summer holidays, and every time within the periods specified by the train service provider. Family rides are available for an adult with a child at the age up to 16 years old. Such a person may purchase two single fare tickets at a discount of 50% or a single fare ticket for oneself and a ticket for a child at a commercial discount or statutory allowance that a child is entitled to. Family rides are possible on all the trains scheduled for in the train timetable of the WKD.
The ticket office staff writes “Przejazd rodzinny” [“Family Ride”] on a ticket and corroborates it with the date stamping machine. An adult is obliged to hold the document corroborating the age of a child. If an adult travels with more than one child, they should purchase tickets for the rest of the children according to the discounts and allowance rate to which they are entitled to and should hold the documents corroborating these entitlements (school identification cards).
11. EXTRAORDINARY TRAINS
The train service provider shall, as far as it is possible, render available extraordinary trains for the single rides of groups of travellers under the following circumstances:
- a request for an extraordinary train shall be filed to the Division of Marketing and the Sales Back Office 14 days before the planned departure date at its latest;
- the request should contain: name and address of the Contracting Authority (name and address of an institution), the aim of the ride, station at which the participants of the group ride are going to get on and off the train, the number and places of the stopovers of the train within the route aiming at taking pictures, the name of the station of departure, the personal details of the group guide (her/his address), number of people, and related particulars required for rendering the train available,
- the train service provider shall notify of the possibility of rendering the train available, fixing the date of payment for the extraordinary train - in Grodzisk Mazowiecki (the ticket office in the Marketing and Sales Department [Wydział Marketingu i Sprzedaży]). The train service provider is also obliged to notify the Contracting Authority of refusal to render an extraordinary train.
- the extraordinary train set may consist of 1 or 2 electric multiple units;
- the fee for the extraordinary train service is set out in Appendix to the TOB (the list of other service charges and fees),
- in case the request for an extraordinary train is accepted, the Contracting Authority pays the due amount in the office indicated in point 3, at least 3 days before the planned departure of the extraordinary train. Then, within the above indicated deadline, the Contracting Authority is obliged to submit to the appointed staff the confirmation of the payment, otherwise the train service provider shall consider the train as cancelled by the Contracting Authority.
- the ticket office shall dispatch the train for the round trip, the group ticket is valid throughout the period of the ride of the extraordinary train;
- the items taken by the passengers cannot cause contamination or damage to the rail vehicles;
- in justified cases the request for an extraordinary train may be submitted in writing later than 7 days before the planned departure of the train. If the train service provider has the possibility to run an extraordinary train, the request shall be accepted upon condition that the payment is made in the abovementioned office for the extraordinary train, including the payment for the mileage of the train and the submission of the confirmation of the payment;
- at the request of the Contracting Authority, the Department of Marketing and Sales can render available the train set for the manoeuvres within the area of the station or the route for special purposes (e.g. for cinematographic purposes); the payments due for such manoeuvre operations have been fixed by the train service provider.
- The payment due for the extraordinary train shall be reimbursed in the following cases:
- when the extraordinary train is not rendered available by the train service provider,
- when the train is cancelled by the organiser of the ride at least 3 days before the planned date of the departure. In such a case the reimbursement shall be made less 50% as compensation for the loss of contract.
- the payment for the extraordinary train shall not be reimbursed, if the organiser cancels the extraordinary train ride request later than 3 days before the planned date of the departure.
12. ZTM-KM-WKD JOINT TICKET
In the trains of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD), within the route Warszawa Śródmieście WKD – Opacz, the following ZTM tickets are accepted:
- period 30-day and 90-day tickets encoded in the Warsaw City Card (as well as on the Electronic Student Identification Card)
- daily (24-hour) tickets
- weekend tickets
- weekend group tickets
- senior citizen tickets
- A child ticket in the family of three children
- as well as the entitlements to the free and discount rides in conformity with the relevant resolutions of the Warsaw City Council
The aforementioned ZTM tickets are accepted on the trains of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) provided they are valid for the rides, i.e. they have been activated/validated.
It is impossible to validate/activate the ZTM tickets in the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) trains.
Passengers with the ZTM tickets to/from the places situated beyond the area provided for in the Contract, are obliged to purchase the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) ticket for the route beyond the area provided for in the Contract, in conformity with the regulations binding for the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD).
ZTM validating machines which validate/activate the ZTM tickets are installed on the following passenger stations and stopovers of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD):
- Opacz – the shop at ul. Ryżowa 83 [83 Ryżowa Street] – open round the clock
- Warszawa Śródmieście WKD [the railway station]
- Warszawa Zachodnia - the tunnel at the entrance to the platform 2
- Warszawa Ochota - near the stairs to the platform suburban railway network.
Within the area provided for in the service offer, there is the possibility of getting on the WKD trains, having the following ZTM tickets bought via a mobile phone:
- A daily (24-hour) ticket
- A weekend ticket
- A weekend group ticket
- ZTM single fare tickets
- other than those mentioned above, are not accepted i.e., do not allow for the ride in WKD trains
Overdue payments for the ride without the valid document and related bad-debt collection procedure are governed by the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) Regulations.

13. ON A WKD TRAIN WITH THE TICKETS FOR THE CONCERT OF “MAZOWSZE” AND THE PERFORMANCE IN THE JAN KIEPURA MAZOVIAN MUSIC THEATRE
Tickets for the concert or the performance of “Mazowsze” folk group or the Jan Kiepura Mazovian Music Theatre, taking place in the “Matecznik Mazowsze” auditorium, entitle to the free ride on a WKD train for the concert/performance from the place of residence to Otrębusy and back.
The special service is available two hours before and after the performance. Having the ticket for the performance/concert, it is possible to enjoy one single ride to Otrębusy and one return ride on a WKD train.
At the time of ticket inspection, the ticket for the concert/performance, that takes place in the “Matecznik Mazowsze” auditorium, should be presented (issued either by “Mazowsze” folk group or by the Jan Kiepura Mazovian Music Theatre).

14. AGREEMENT WITH THE KOLEJE MAZOWIECKIE – KM Sp. z o.o. [MAZOVIAN RAILWAY Ltd]
Warsaw Commuter Railway Ltd (WKD) kindly advises that the agreement between the WKD and KM companies has been entered into for the period travelcard mutual acceptance procedures.
Therefore, the personal period travelcards and bearer travelcards according to the standard ticket or discount/allowance rates issued for the routes to/from:

- valid travelcards for the rides of “Koleje Mazowieckie – KM” (The “Mazowieckie Railways Company – KM”) are accepted in the trains of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD).
The term “Grodzisk Maz. WKD” means all the WKD stations within the cities of Grodzisk Maz. i.e.: Grodzisk Maz. Radońska, Grodzisk Maz. Jordanowice, Grodzisk Maz. Piaskowa, Grodzisk Maz. Okrężna.
The mutual honoring of tickets, resulting from the agreement between the companies WKD and KM, applies only to period travelcards for journeys of travelers in above mentioned relationships.
Carriage of items, bicycles and animals is made on the terms specified in the regulations of the company carriage, the one which mean of transport the carriage is held by.
Therefore, travelers with valid ticket for travel by KM train, held by WKD train rides are required to have a valid ticket for carriage in accordance with the rules in the Regulations governing the carriage of people, items and animals binding for Warsaw Commuter Railway Ltd (WKD).
Overdue payments for the ride without the valid document and related bad-debt collection procedure are governed by the service regulations enforced by a train service provider.
15. PARK&RIDE
The service offer is tailored for the travellers who wish to leave their cars in the vicinity of the WKD station and change to the train in order to continue their journey.
Presently, the company operates two attended car parks in Komorów and Pruszków and three unattended car parks situated by the stopovers: Grodzisk Mazowiecki Okrężna, Grodzisk Mazowiecki Piaskowa as well as in Podkowa Leśna.
PARK&RIDE in Komorów
In Komorów nearby the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) station, a car park for the passengers has been opened.
It provides for the following services:
- Park&Ride – „park and change to the train"
- Park&Ride for a bicycle
- a city car park
PARK & RIDE
Passengers possessing monthly travelcards, quarterly travelcards or two single fare tickets may park their cars (up to 3.5 tons) in an attended car park next to the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) station, by means of buying a car park voucher.
The price for the parking space amounts to:
- PLN 45.00 for a monthly travelcard
- PLN 100.00 for a quarterly travelcard
- PLN 3.00 for two single fare tickets (a daily voucher)
PARK & RIDE FOR A BICYCLE
Passengers possessing monthly travelcards or quarterly travelcards may leave their bicycles in an attended car park next to the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) station, by means of buying a car park voucher.
The price for the parking space amounts to:
PLN 12.00 for a monthly travelcard
- PLN 30.00 for a quarterly travelcard
- PLN 1.00 for two single fare tickets (a daily voucher)
PARK & RIDE FOR A MOTORCYCLE, A MOTOR SCOOTER OR A MOTORBIKE
Passengers possessing monthly travelcards or quarterly travelcards may leave their motorcycles, motor scooters or motorbikes in an attended car park next to the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) station, by means of buying a car park voucher.
The price for the parking space amounts to:
- PLN 18.00 for a monthly travelcard
- PLN 40.00 for a quarterly travelcard
- PLN 2.00 for two single fare tickets (a daily voucher)
CITY CAR PARK
The service offer is for everyone who would like to leave a car or bike in the car parks nearby the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) station, regardless of the fact whether you are or are not the passengers of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) (i.e. whether you possess a ticket for train service). Nonetheless, the passengers of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD), who hold period travelcards may enjoy the priority over those who do not.
Parking fees for a motor car:
- PLN 2.50– first hour
- PLN 2.00 - every next hour
Parking fees for a bike:
- PLN 4.00 – daily fee
The car park opens every day at 6.00 a.m. till 10.00 p.m.
The detailed conditions of using the car park are specified in the “Car Park Regulations”.
PARK&RIDE in Pruszków
Having bought a monthly or a quarterly travelcard, a passenger may purchase the car park voucher nearby the station Pruszków WKD.
the Car Park - (ul. Pawia 2 [2 Pawia Street]) - open for 12 hours at a traveller’s discretion, including Saturday, Sunday and holidays. (It is not available during the night time from 7.00 p.m. till 5.00 a.m.).
Upon having entered the car park, a traveller has to present the car park voucher which entitles a traveller to occupy a parking space indicated by the car park staff. The car park voucher should be left behind the car window.
Prices for the car parking space amount to:
- PLN 25.00 for a monthly travelcard
- PLN 60.00 for a quarterly travelcard
