Carriage of items

A Traveller, (including a child above 7 years old), holding a valid ticket may take items, the weight of which does not exceed 20 kg in weight [i.e., about 44 lbs]. In the case of a child holding a valid ticket, the maximum weight of the luggage amounts to 10 kg in weight [i.e., about 22,05 lbs].

A traveller may take items if it is possible to place them inside the train so that they:

  1. do not hinder the passage
  2. do not expose any people or property to any hazards,
  3. do not threaten the safety and public order during the journey
  4. do not disturb other travellers.

It is not allowed to place items on seats.

The regulations governing the carriage of items up to 30 kg in weight [i.e., 66,14 lbs] are set out in the WKD Ticket Tariffs for the carriage of people and luggage.
For the carriage of items up to 30 kg in weight, a single fare ticket should be validated (zone/city) for the specific time zone/area of validity.

The intention of a paid carriage of items enlisted in the WKD Ticket Tariffs for the carriage of people and luggage, shall be reported to the ticket office before the journey or to the rail vehicle driver - immediately after entering the train.

For the carriage of the aforementioned items:

  1. the ticket office issues a ticket for the carriage of items attended by a traveller
  2. A rail vehicle driver issues a ticket for the carriage of items, charging a fee indicated in the WKD Ticket Tariffs for the carriage of people and luggage, attached hereto. (The table of charges/fees for the carriage of items of up to 30 kg in weight [i.e., about 66,14 lbs]). A rail vehicle driver also collects an additional fee for issuing a ticket.
